Jill is an  Associate Professor of English and Director of the Writing Associates Program at Swarthmore College. She co-facilitates the National Census of Writing and co-authored Writing Program Administration at Small Liberal Arts Colleges.

 

 

Jill Gladstein is an Associate Professor of English and directs the Writing Associates Program at Swarthmore College, which received a CCCC Writing Program Certificate of Excellence.  She is one of the co-founders of the Small Liberal Arts College-Writing Program Administrators consortium, and with her collaborator Dara Rossman Regaignon wrote Writing Program Administration at Small Liberal Arts College.  As a trained practitioner- researcher in TESOL, Jill explores questions that derive from her experiences in the writing classroom and as director of a small college writing program.  She has published on writing centers, writing fellows programs, and writing program administration.  Her articles have appeared in WPA Journal and Across the Disciplines.  Jill currently serves as a co-investigator on The National Census of Writing, an open-access database containing data on the sites of writing at 900 two and four-year colleges and universities in the United States.
